BMUFOR: Billy Meier's Epic of Gilgamesha - Predicting the Future but Forgetting the Past

Another instance of Meier failing to keep up with his own tall tales

left: Gilgamesha is seen in red shirt, December 1974; right: Gilgamesha with her dog, circa 2015

Did Meier/Plejaren, in December 1979, predict the serious car accident his daughter Gilgamesha has met with almost 12 years later in August 1991?

Fulfilled or Not? - Billy Meier's prediction on the impact of 'Red Meteor or Asteroid Apophis'

Is it just another pseudoscientific claim or a genuine prediction?

An artist's conception of an asteroid hitting Earth

On May 4, 2015, Billy Meier's American media representative Michael Horn has published an article titled - New Confirmation of Billy Meier’s Warnings about Apophis. Any person who is already familiar with Meier's prediction on Red Meteor or Asteroid Apophis, after reading Michael Horn's latest article title, one might get the impression that we were at least FINALLY provided some real, tangible, strong evidence that scientifically establishes Billy Meier's contacts with Plejaren extraterrestrials.

But as it turns out, there is nothing new in his article that adds any weight or credibility to the already invalidated 'corroborated' claims of Michael Horn and some Meier/FIGU supporters made on Red Meteor. Besides we hear the same old pseudo-scientific and fallacious arguments. Having said that, let us first analyze the "new" evidence brought forth in the aforementioned article and then address the rest later. The two main claims being made in that article are:
  1. Meier published the Red Meteor prediction first in 1994 and not in 2001
  2. Meier called it 'Red Meteor' in 1994, one year before the Torino scale was created in 1995
Important note: The main assumption made by Michael Horn that Red Meteor that was mentioned by Meier in his contact notes years earlier is indeed the asteroid Apophis - will be dealt towards the end of this article. For now we will just restrict our discussion with the two main claims made by Michael Horn in his latest article.

1. Meier published the Red Meteor prediction first in 1994 and not in 2001

Michael Horn in his original article on Red Meteor titled - Danger of Collision with the Red Meteor! - mentioned that the information on Red Meteor in CR 150 was first published in FIGU co-founder and core group member Guido Moosbrugger's 1991 book 'Und sie fliegen doch!.' On that he wrote:

"In order to immediately establish the fact that Meier published his warnings about the Red Meteor (known to us now as Apophis) long before "official discovery", I direct readers to the easily established fact that this warning (in addition to the referenced transcripts below) appears on pages 316 and 317 of Guido Moosbrugger's book, And yet...they fly! - first published in English in September, 2001...three years before Apophis was discovered by terrestrial scientists.

It also appears on pages 265 and 266 of And still they fly!, - published in 2004.
However, both of these books are the English language translation of the orignal German language book, first published by Guido Moosbrugger in 1991....13 years before Apophis was discovered by terrestrial scientists. It is, therefore, absolutely ironclad, copyrighted, published proof of the Plejaren's and Meier's prophetic accuracy and truthfulness."

After sometime he added the following correction to the above claim:

(CORRECTION: I found that the text was not in the German book in 1991, though it was first published in German in 1981 and, as mentioned below, available in English shortly thereafter. Ofcourse, the copyright in English, in 2001, is ironclad.)

Are the claims made in the above correction true?

I own a copy of Guido's 1991 book Und sie fliegen doch! (which Michael Horn above referred to) and on pages 392-394, Guido for the first time published information from Contact Report 150 under the heading - Der rote Meteor. I even shared this information along with the scans of the pages from the book to Michael Horn on June 26, 2014 and asked him the source for his correction. He responded on the next day as follows:
"I don't remember at this time. I have so much to do now that many things from the past are not in the forefront of my memory. I could have gotten it from someone else, Dyson, etc. Of course if it is in the book that's great."

This prompted me to contact Dyson on the same day (June 27), to which he responded as follows:

"I don't own, nor do I have access to, Und Sie Fliegen Doch .."

Who- or whatever the source may be, for some reason Michael Horn didn't make the amendments then.

2. Meier called it 'Red Meteor' in 1994, one year before the Torino scale was created in 1995

Michael Horn argues that since 'Red Meteor' information was published - for the first time in 1994 (1991 to be exact), a year before the Torino scale was created in 1995, 3 years before it was first appeared in print in 1997 and 5 years before it was officially adopted by participants of the June 1999 international conference for NEOs, held in Torino (Turin), Italy - this "new" information provided by Matthew Knight "supports Anton Hahnekamp’s theory that there could be a connection between referring to Apophis as the Red Meteor and the Torino scale." Michael however acknowledges that this connection "still remains speculative."

Michael Horn published the following in his original website article based on Anton Hahnekamp's "theory":

"People may wonder why...they would refer to Apophis initially as the Red Meteor.

But an Austrian physicist has suggested that, by doing so, they were giving our own scientists a hint as to the absolute certainty that the object will collide with Earth if not deflected. In order to appreciate the very real possibility that this is the case, please read this information on the Torino scale. This may be an indication that, occasionally, we have to use our own minds to not only figure things out but to appreciate the intelligence of those who wish to help us...to help ourselves. And it should be further noted that the Torino scale was created by scientists in 1995, again, years after Meier's information was first published.

(NOTE: Aren't scientists always wondering if extraterrestrials will be "smart" enough to recognize our radio frequencies, or refer to some common scientific or mathematical standard, to make contact with us? Well, do we think that they may have passed such a "test" by pointing to a color standard that our scientists would use to identify an object that would hit us with absolute certainty? And might we take notice of the fact that they did that years before that standard was even created?)."

To inquire what FIGU knows, I have framed the following related question (along with others on different topics) and sent it to a FIGU Canada passive member so that he can directly ask the FIGU core group member and SSSC faculty director - Christian Frehner who at that time (Aug 2012) visited Canada to give out a lecture on Meier's story and his spiritual teachings:

"Did Billy gave the reason why Apophis asteroid was called as "Red Meteor" ? Some are speculating that the RED in 'red meteor' indicates the danger level in the scale of Torino scale( a method for categorizing the impact hazard associated with near-Earth objects (NEOs) such as asteroids and comets). Even though, Apophis is considered an asteorid by scientists, Plejaren chose to call it a meteor. So, some say that since Apophis is similar to  LL chondritic meteorites, plejaren might have used that name but others reject that proposition. So was there any explanation given for why Plejaren used the name 'Red Meteor' for Apophis asteroid?"

Christian in response to my question however expressed that the 'Red' in 'Red Meteor' could be indicative of the color of the meteor rather than the danger level on Torino scale.

Concerning the speculations on the meaning of the color 'Red', the postdoctoral researcher in astronomy Stuart Robbins has responded as follows:

"Anyway, the first claim I want to address occurs at about 10:00-11:45 into the program (Ufoprophet Note: Hour 4 of the January 14 broadcast of Coast to Coast AM). The jist of what Horn states has to do with trying to do a post-hoc analysis/justification of why the alleged Plejarens call this object “Red.” He says he was contacted by an Austrian physicist who linked it to the Torino scale. Quoting the other person, Horn stated, “‘This could be’ – I’m not saying with certainty … – ‘their way, by naming it this, of giving us the ultimate clue we need’ – which this translates to, ‘this is going to hit your planet.’ … This just blew my mind. … Here’s the kicker: The scale wasn’t even developed until 1995!” (George’s response was, “Jeez! He was way ahead.”)

Hopefully, dear reader, I don’t have to point out how much of a retrodiction this is. But, just to name a few reasons: Meier could have picked “red” because historically it’s a color of destruction. He could have picked red because many people think that Planet X is red. He could have picked red just on a whim. He could have picked red because it’s a “danger” color and most scales use red for bad things – just look at the dashboard of your car. In short, entertaining this idea of the Torino Scale as the reason why an alleged alien allegedly told Meier that an object that will hit Earth is called “red” is one of the largest stretches of correlation that I’ve heard. (Source: Common sense.)"

Now let us move onto other claims made on Red Meteor by Michael Horn and others.
  • Petale Prophecy
  • Size of Apophis
3. Petale Prophecy

Following is an excerpt from BMUFOR which invalidates Michael Horn/Meier's claim regarding the Petale Prophecy:

"The information about the Red Meteor has been highlighted since 2009 by Michael Horn as “an abundance of documented proof that Billy Meier has published specific, prophetically accurate information about Apophis.” Apart from the information from the contact reports (which will be dealt with later), his webpage also contains a Petale* Prophecy, received and typed down by Meier on Saturday, January 31, 1976, 01:05 AM (published in Prophetien, pg. 42-43, 1982 and Prophetien und Voraussagen, pg. 55, 1996):

A meteor from space – comet-like,
races close and crashes in the big pond,
the air it burns up as a glowing ball,
in the year of the three-value, with terrible sound,
with terrible howling, gigantic power,
as death-missile it crashes on the Earth.
As concentrated power racing through space,
it brings a deadly destroying seed.
Mountains, they crash and life, it dies;
a death-monster, which now spoils much,
loud cry the people all together in one voice,
their misery upward to Creation in heaven.
They scream and cry and plead to her,
for much blessing and love and help from now on
but they never thought about the great law,
about the love-request, which they broke.
They lived along, passing Creation by,
because all-the-while love was all the same to them.
Only the punishing power of the highest one,
allows a few to find their way back to the greatest One.

* Meier allegedly receives these prophecies from the highly evolved spirit level ‘Petale’ in a telepathically transmitted symbol language, which he then has to interpret and write down in German.

Michael Horn presents the above 1976 prophecy as follows:

"I am also now posting an even earlier warning from Petale, in poetic form, that was published by Meier in 1976 in the same document with the 1981 warning, which I first read in 1986"

Obviously, this prophecy is far too general and unspecific to be tied to any asteroid or comet in particular. Ironically this is illustrated by the fact that this prophecy was already earlier linked to an asteroid other than Apophis in an article by FIGU Core Group member Bernadette Brand in Stimme der Wassermannzeit, Nr. 78, pg. 23-27, March 1991 titled ‘Erfüllt sich bald eine weitere Prophetie?’ (Will another prophecy be fulfilled soon?). In this article the above Petale Prophecy was linked to the asteroid (4953) 1990 MU, discovered on June 23, 1990.

One reason she linked this asteroid with the Petale Prophecy could be because of the hint in the fourth line, which says that the time of impact would be “in the year of the three-value”. This means that the all digits in a year should count up to three, According to the articles mentioned by Brand published in the newspapers the Tages Anzeiger (Zurich) and Der Landbote (Winterthur) on August 20, 1990, it was initially speculated that it might impact with the Earth in 1992 (or several thousands of years later). When we add all the individual digits of the year '1992' we get 21 (1+9+9+2) and then if we again add those remaining individual digits of '21' we get 3 (2+1).

Of course, this would also fit with many other years, for example 2001, 2010, 2019, 2028, 2037 etc., so any asteroid or comet that would come dangerously close in those years would fit the prophecy, at least until it has passed and didn’t impact on Earth. This link lists all the predicted close encounters by Potentially Hazardous Asteroids (PHAs) within 0.05 AU of the Earth from 2014 through 2178. Many PHAs are listed there that will closely approach Earth in the years with a ‘3’ value. This renders the scientific validation of the Petale prophecy as null since it can be recycled again and again for many countless years.

Now back to Michael Horn’s claim.
On the radio show Coast to Coast AM on July 28, 2004 (just after 1:05:00 minutes into the show) Michael mentioned that the Red Meteor might come dangerously close or may impact the Earth in a year with a numerological value of '3' and gave two examples, 2010 and 2019, for illustration purposes. However, according to the information conveyed to Meier by the Plejaren in 2008 (CR 471), the years in which Apophis will come close to Earth are given as 2029 and 2036, which yields the values of 4 and 2 respectively, but not 3. The first year with a 3 value in which Apophis will approach Earth will be 2091, but for 2029 and 2036 this prophecy obviously cannot be linked to Apophis. Even though the information from CR 471 clearly contradicts the information from Petale Prophecy, Michael Horn/Billy Meier seems to have no qualms in promoting the information contained in both the CR 471 and the Petale prophecy together.

4. Size of Apophis

Following is an excerpt from BMUFOR:

"On January 14, 2013 Michael Horn posted on his blog that scientists corrected their size estimation of Apophis from 270 meters to 325 meters, which comes close to the figure of 350 meters Ptaah gave Meier in CR 475. This may seem remarkable, although technically 350 meters is still outside the range of 325 ± 15 meters (= between 310 and 340 meters) indicated by the measurements of the Herschel space observatory. However, Wikipedia reads the following:

“Based upon the observed brightness, Apophis’s diameter was initially estimated at 450 metres (1,480 ft); a more refined estimate based on spectroscopic observations at NASA‘s Infrared Telescope Facility in Hawaii by Binzel, Rivkin, Bus, and Tokunaga (2005) is 350 metres (1,150 ft).”

It’s remarkable that the size mentioned in CR 475 exactly matches an earlier size estimation of Apophis by terrestrial science. Later, the size estimate for Apophis was changed multiple times. Using wayback machine for NASA’s data page for Apophis we can see the history of Apophis size estimate. For this page wayback machine goes back as far as October 18, 2005. Below a list of dates on which the size estimate on the page was changed compared to the previous version of the page that was archived in wayback machine:

October 18, 2005 – 320 meters
October 24, 2006 – 250 meters
July 1, 2008 – 270 meters
February 27, 2013 – 330 meters

This doesn’t necessarily mean a new measurement was actually made on these dates, this could have been months before the value on the page was updated. For example the figure of 270 meters already shows up in this article from October 16, 2007, at least 6 months before the size was changed on NASA’s page. It is clear though that during the time CR 475 allegedly took place (November 26, 2008) and was published (2010) the latest size estimate was 270 meters. Does that suggest Meier indeed got accurate information from extraterrestrial source? Actually, no. It is not an unknown phenomenon that media are often very sloppy in checking their sources, and a figure that has been used during the time that something was a ‘hot topic’, like for example the possible impact of Apophis on Earth, will often be recycled over and over again in later articles, despite the fact that it has been corrected in the mean time. Since 350 meters was one of the early size estimates, it isn’t surprising that during the period CR allegedly took place and was published, both the figure of 270 and the 350 meters were available in articles referring to Apophis. Just a small selection of news articles in which both values are mentioned:

August 15, 2006 – 350 meters: Asteroid and comet impacts: the ultimate environmental catastrophe
October 29, 2007 – 350 meters: Protecting Earth Against Asteroids
April 15, 2008 – 270-350 meters: 13 Yr. Old German Corrects NASA’s 99942 Apophis Impact Probability Calculations
April 19, 2008 – 270 meters: How Big is Apophis?
November 3, 2008 – 270 meters: Astronomers hunt for Earth-bound killer rocks
December 30, 2009 – 270 meters: Russia May Head Mission to Deflect Asteroid Apophis
December 31, 2009 – 350 meters: Russia’s secret plan to save Earth from asteroid
August 1, 2010 – 270 meters: Odds of Earth Getting Slammed by Asteroid in 2182 is About 1-in-2000
October 27, 2010 – 350 meters: Apophis’ power surpasses all nuclear arsenals on Earth

To illustrate how long an obsolete value is still used by media, check this article from December 30, 2014, which still mentions a size of 350 meters, despite linking to a NASA page which mentions a size of 330 meters (325 rounded to 330). If one would have done a quick internet search during the period 2008-2010 period for the size of Apophis and accept the first value that shows up, one would most likely end up with either 270 or 350 meters. This doesn’t conclusively prove Meier got his information on the size of Apophis from news articles etc., but it also certainly isn’t clearly evident that he got it from extraterrestrials, to say the least."

Information from Meier's Contact Report 544 (September 2012) and CR 150 (October 1981) contradicts the scientific consensus on the origin of Apophis and also the most established fact in astronomy, which is the origin location of asteroids in our solar system.

5. Origin of the Red Meteor

Following is an excerpt from BMUFOR:

"According to Quetzal in CR 150 the Red Meteor "approaches from the depths of outer space towards the SOL-system and is a so-called stranger (German: Fremdling)" and it  "travels on a path, which leads it to the SOL-system for the first time." In CR 544 Ptaah confirms the Red Meteor is from the Oort cloud.

This seems to be contradictory, as the Oort cloud is considered as the outer boundary of the Solar System, still a part of the Solar System. Nevertheless one could also argue that the Oort cloud region is considered as ‘the depths of outer space’, since the border between the solar system and ‘outer space’ cannot be clearly defined. Or maybe the Red Meteor came from other systems and spent some time in the Oort cloud before entering the inner solar system for the first time. But does this information actually fit with Apophis?

Apophis asteroid belongs to a group known as Aten family. These do not belong to the asteroid belt and their orbits are at least for the greatest part within the orbit of the Earth, resulting in orbital periods of less than a year. The first illustration below shows the region where these asteroids orbit around the sun. According to the The SAO Encyclopedia of Astronomy, “although some are no doubt extinct cometary nuclei, it is now thought that the majority originate in the main asteroid belt.” The second illustration shows the orbit of Apophis. As can be seen its orbit is relatively circular and lies within the ecliptic plane.

Objects originating from the Oort cloud are typically long period comets (only roughly one to two percent of the Oort cloud objects are asteroids) with highly elliptical orbits which come from all directions, while Apophis is an asteroid with with a rather circular orbit in the ecliptic plane and an orbital period of less than a year. These facts speak strongly against an origin from the Oort cloud and that it would travel “on a path, which leads it to the SOL-system for the first time” as Quetzal states in CR 150.
The Aten asteroid group (shown in green). The Sun is in the center, with the planets Mercury (black), Venus (yellow), Earth (blue) and Mars (red).
Orbit of the asteroid Apophis around the Sun
When this was pointed out to Meier by Mahesh Karumudi aka Mahigitam on March 29, 2015 in FIGU Q/A forum, Meier responded as follows:

Billy,
According to your information (Contact Report 544) the Red Meteor/Apophis has an origin in the Oort Cloud.
http://futureofmankind.co.uk/Billy_Meier/Contact_Report_544

Meier:
…Dazu dann auch gleich die Frage in bezug auf den prophetisch angekündeten Roten Meteor: Kommt dieser auch aus der Oortschen Wolke?
Ptaah:
Das ist tatsächlich richtig..

Typical characteristics for objects from the Oort Cloud, according to science are:

– They approach the inner solar system from all directions, not only within the ecliptic plane
– They are usually comets (only roughly 1 to 2 percent are asteroids)
– They have highly elliptical, long period orbits

Likewise according to science, Apophis has rather a short orbital period (less than a year) and rather circular orbit within the ecliptic plane. And it is referred to as a near-Earth asteroid belonging to ATEN group – broadly speaking asteroids that are inside Mars orbit. See the following link for Apophis orbital path.
http://www.daviddarling.info/images/Apophis_orbit.gif

How do you explain this apparent discrepancy?

Practical everything (all such objects) comes from the Oort Cloud / Kuiper Belt.
And regarding the Red Meteor it can be assumed that Ptaah is more knowledgeable in astronomical matters than terrestrial scientists.

Meier in his first statement apparently states that all objects such as meteors, asteroids and comets originate in the Oort Cloud or Kuiper Belt. Though it is true that the origin of comets is attributed to both Kuiper belt and Oort cloud, it is patently absurd and wrong to say that all the asteroids too originate in the Oort cloud or Kuiper belt since the basic astronomical science indicates that a vast majority of the asteroids originate in the inner solar system and primarily orbit in the asteroid belt between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter."

Now the answer to the sub-title of this article -  'is it another pseudoscientific claim or a genuine prediction?' - is obvious and strongly points to a pseudoscientific claim. For other pseudoscientific-claims on the Red Meteor's potential impact location and the most important one - the connection between Meier's 'Red Meteor' and the Asteroid Apophis, visit BMUFOR.

BMUFOR - Billy Meier's Time Travel pictures: Future San Francisco earthquake

According to Contact Report 104, on March 18, 1978, Meier was taken on a time travel trip into the future to witness and photograph the aftereffects of the inevitable mega-earthquake event that will occur in San Francisco at an unspecified time in the future. During this trip, Meier allegedly recorded the destruction of San Francisco on his camera loaded with a negative film. He also photographed the fissures of the San Andreas fault located around 300 kms away from the city. After the trip Meier was allegedly brought back 30 minutes earlier than the time he got up from his bed for the contact.

It was reported by Wendelle Stevens that on one evening during their visit to Switzerland in 1978, Meier showed the 11 color photos from his time travel trip to about 9-10 people who were sitting around the kitchen table, including Wendelle Stevens himself and his co-investigators Lee and Brit Elders, Meier’s ex-wife Kalliope and others from the group around Meier.

After a few days, it was claimed that Meier's photos have come from a painting published in an article in GEO magazine in September 1977. And soon afterward, according to Contact Report 106 from April 10, 1978, these 11 color photos along with their original negatives were taken away from Meier by the Plejaren ETs and were never returned again.

Did Meier really photograph the destruction of the future San Francisco earthquake event?

Fulfilled or not ? - 'Massive ocean inside Earth' & 'Temperature of the Earth's core' Predictions

Michael Horn, the authorized American media Representative of Billy Meier has published yet once again another so-called corroboration article - New Corroboration of Billy Meier’s Prophetically Accurate Scientific Information (Jan 6, 2014) - that allegedly proves Meier's claim of being in contact with ETs. He further said the following:

"Now of course the skeptics and debunkers will really have to work hard to tell us just how Meier “hoaxed” his advance knowledge of…so many things. He couldn’t just be – telling the truth about his 73-year-long contact with the Plejaren extraterrestrial human race, could he?"

Should one "really have to work hard" to tell that this corroboration claim is a bogus one ?
Absolutely not!

This alleged corroboration claim just like the previous ones which have been demonstrated on BMUFOR website and on this blog page, will be revealed below as nothing but pseduo-scientific claims.

Now let us analyze the claims made by Michael Horn. In his article, Michael Horn made two claims.
  1. Massive ocean discovered inside Earth
  2. Temperature of Earth's core is same as the surface of the Sun
1. Massive ocean discovered inside Earth

Michael writes the following in his article:

"A new article in NewScientist, titled Massive ‘ocean’ discovered towards Earth’s core, reports that a “reservoir of water three times the volume of all the oceans has been discovered deep beneath the Earth’s surface.”
This “new discovery” apparently wasn’t so new to the Plejaren, as Ptaah mentions “enormous masses of water also located in the interior of the earth” in his discussion about numerous terrestrial matters with Billy Meier in the 540th Contact, on May 19, 2012…two years before this “new discovery”."

What does the June 12, 2014 NewScientist article say:

"A reservoir of water three times the volume of all the oceans has been discovered deep beneath the Earth's surface. The finding could help explain where Earth's seas came from.
The water is hidden inside a blue rock called ringwoodite that lies 700 kilometres underground in the mantle, the layer of hot rock between Earth's surface and its core."

What does the Contact Report (CR) 540 say:

Billy:
...Then, however, I have here one more question on account of the earth's magnetism, which for a long time already, should become increasingly weaker. Can you tell me the reason for this?
Ptaah:
..And since the Earth's magnetism is not equally strong everywhere on the planet and magnetism-fluctuations appear, that can have negative consequences in many connections...A disturbing influence takes place, e.g., with regard to the movements of the earths petroleum lakes located in the interior of the planet, as enormous masses of water also located in the interior of the earth, will however move in equal measure, which would bedeck the whole earth kilometers-high, would they penetrate to the outside...

Objection #1:
In CR 540, ET Ptaah just says "enormous masses of water" but he didn't specify how many times the quantity of earth oceans (NewScientist says 3 times) is present inside the Earth. Also he didn't specify the region, the distance from the Earth's surface where this "ocean" region (NewScientist says around 700 kms in Mantle layer) is located. Remember, the radius of the Earth is 6,371 km (3,959 miles)So objectively speaking, Meier's information in CR 540 is pretty vague and nowhere does it reveal any specific, unambiguous information (strong enough to prove Meier's claims), as was published in the NewScientist article.

Objection #2:
Even if we grant some weight to Michael's claim of corroboration, none other than Billy Meier/FIGU "debunks" Michael Horn's claims. How?

In Plejadisch-plejarische Kontaktberichte Block 6, page 50, a newspaper article - Viel Wasser im Erdmantel (A lot of water in the Earth’s mantle) - originally published in Tages-Anzeiger, Zürich, Tuesday, June 10, 2003 was presented.

The article reads as follows:

"The Earth’s mantle isn’t dry as previously assumed, but may also contain large amounts of water in deeper layers. ETH-researchers of the Institute of Geophysics found corresponding evidence ("Science", Vol. 300, pg. 1556). Their new measurement data supports the theory that at a depth of 410 kilometers water molecules are incorporated into the mineral layers. Until then the consensus was that this was only the case in the upper layers of the Earth’s mantle. If their assumptions are confirmed, according to the researchers, a water reservoir twice as large as the oceans
would be stored. This finding is useful for geologists: they can draw conclusions about underground movements throughout history."

This 2003 article clearly refutes Michael's claim of corroboration of CR 540, 2012 information by using the 2014 article as evidence.

Objection #3:
The above Tages-Anzeiger article was actually presented as a corroboration for Meier's information from Contact Report 230 (PPKB 6, pg. 50; translation of the excerpts not yet available on FOM):

Billy
...And as you explained, water is not only stored in the upper Earth’s layers, but even hundreds of kilometres deep within the Earths mantle within certain rock layers etc., and in such large amounts that it exceeds the mass of all the water on the Earth’s surface.
Quetzal
434. That is of correctness.

Information in this CR 230 is far more specific relative to the CR 540 which Michael uses as source for his claims. In CR 230 we have Meier at least pointing out the layer (Mantle) in which this large amount of water would be present and also vaguely the quantity (exceeds the water on Earth's surface), though he didn't specify the region (in kms) from the surface of the Earth where this water would be.

Can Michael now use CR 230 instead of CR 540 as source for his corroboration claims ?

No, because CR 230 was for the first time published in Plejadisch-plejarische Kontaktberichte Block 6 in 2005 and the Tages-Anzeiger article was from 2003.

Objection #4:
Even though this information was published for the first time in year 2005 in PPKB 6, let us for a moment, consider the year 1989 (CR 230) - the alleged year in which Meier & ET Quetzal shared this information - as the baseline for our analysis.

Is Meier the first person to suggest that the masses of water are inside Earth's mantle ?

No.
As this 1987 science paper - β-MgrSiOo: A potential host for water in the mantle? - clearly indicates in its title. It even goes back to the year 1975.

The following excerpt is from this paper:

"Alternatively, various estimates based on planetary accretion models and geochemical mass-balance observations suggest a bulk amount of water in the entire mantle of between three and six ocean masses 21, 22.

2. Temperature of Earth's core is same as the surface of the Sun

Michael Horn writes the following in his article:

"While we’re at it, an article on the Huffington Post explores the fact that the Earth’s core is as hot as the surface of the sun, as was originally reported in the magazine, Science. Not unexpectedly, Billy Meier already published the essential facts, as Ptaah presented them to him by, in 1986:

53. The Earth’s core, thus the center of the Earth, is not simply a solid mass, as is erroneously supposed by the earthly scientists; rather, it is a core that is similar to what the Sun is in its entirety."

What does the 2013 The Atlantic article say:

"A new study in Science suggests that the temperature of our planet's core is much, much hotter than previously thought -- 6,000 degrees Kelvin, compared with earlier estimations that were closer to 5,000 degrees Kelvin. This temperature, blazing hot to a degree beyond comprehension, is the same as that of the surface of the sun."

I don't know how Michael connected the verse 53 from Contact Report 212 (1986) to the 2013 article as the verse 53 nowhere suggests anything about temperature, not to say the temperature of Earth's inner core and the surface of Sun as being equal. It just says that the Earth's core is similar to the Sun, which is once again very vague in its description. What features of the Sun and Earth's core are being referred to by Quetzal ? Pressure, density, composition, luminosity, temperature, etc ?

In fact in the next verse after verse 53, Meier clears this ambiguity as follows, which for some reason was ignored by Michael:

Quetzal:
53. The Earth’s core, thus the center of the Earth, is not simply a solid mass, as is erroneously supposed by the earthly scientists; rather, it is a core that is similar to what the Sun is in its entirety.
Billy:
So it’s a bubbling, nuclear furnace.
Quetzal:
54. That is a good comparison.

So both Meier and Quetzal seems to suggest that the nuclear processes that happen in the Earth's core are similar to those that happen in Sun. In Sun, nuclear fusion takes place.

From Wikipedia:

"In nuclear physics, nuclear fusion is a is a nuclear reaction in which two or more atomic nuclei collide at a very high speed and join to form a new type of atomic nucleus. During this process, matter is not conserved because some of the matter of the fusing nuclei is converted to photons (energy). Fusion is the process that powers active or "main sequence" stars."

According to mainstream science, Earth's core is primarily not a nuclear reactor. Following is an answer to a similar question - Does nuclear fusion go on at the earth's core? - asked on Yahoo Answers:

"The answer is no.

Two reasons:
1. It is not hot enough
2. The elemental components are not right.

Fusion is the combination of lighter elements to produce a heavier element. In doing so it releases energy. This is how stars work. As the atomic number increases the amount of energy released becomes smaller, until you get to iron. After this point you have to add energy to fuse to elements together. The core of the Earth is made up of heavy elements that will not fuse. However some of these elements are unstable and will undergo fission; atomic number becomes smaller. It is the
decay of these elements that keeps the interior of the Earth warm."

Nuclear fusion is one of the main reasons that differentiates a planet (Earth) from a star (Sun). Following is an excerpt from this link:

"If an object has a mass of 0.084 times the mass of our own sun (85 times the mass of Jupiter) the core reaches a point where it can start the process of nuclear fusion in its core (see fig.1). If the mass is smaller than this, the lowest temperature to support nuclear fusion will never be reached and the object will never shine like a star."

CONCLUSION:

Let me once again quote what Michael said in his article:

"Now of course the skeptics and debunkers will really have to work hard to tell us just how Meier “hoaxed” his advance knowledge of…so many things. He couldn’t just be – telling the truth about his 73-year-long contact with the Plejaren extraterrestrial human race, could he?"

We have shown that Michael Horn’s extravagant claims are largely based on wishful thinking, unproven presuppositions and ignorance of even the FIGU material itself, rather then objectivity, critical thinking and decent research. He doesn't seem to realize these articles and claims do not at all add to the credibility of the case, but rather give the impression of propaganda fueled by blind belief, at least to anyone who spends even a few minutes to check any of his claims.

Far Out Radio (Sep 11, 2013): New Aspects of Billy Meier Story with Michael Horn

Official American spokesperson for Billy Meier, Michael Horn, continues Billy Meier's amazing story, with new documentation and developments from this one of a kind UFO contactee. We look at these new details as well as older controversies – the controversy over the photographs, the claims of Billy’s former wife, Billy’s prophetic messages, and the guidance he’s received from his Pleiadian (also known as Plejaren) friends.

Michael Horn as the official American representative for UFO contactee, Billy Meier, shares this amazing story and all its implications. Within the UFO experience, many people have sightings, others are abducted against their will, and a few are contacted.

There are fascinating aspects to the Billy Meier story.  Billy claims to have been contacted and taught by Pleiadian and Plejaren humans since the age of five. Another aspect is the existence of his astonishing photographs of the UFOs that his extraterrestrial friends use to get to Earth. And third, are the amazing prophecies and instructions Billy has received from his ETs friends.

Michael Horn has been studying the Billy Meier story since 1979 when he saw a copy of the book, “UFO… Contact From The Pleiades Volume 1.” While the message in the book was profound, the photos initially captivated Michael. This would be the beginning of a journey and a role of sharing and communicating that continues to this day for Michael. You can read all about this important Billy Meier contactee story at Michael Horn's site, theyfly.com.

Investigating the Billy Meier UFO Case (Sep 2, 2011): Derek Bartholomaus at Skeptrack, Dragon Con

Since 2003, Derek Bartholomaus has been researching the various extra-terrestrial contact claims made by Swiss farmer, Eduard Albert “Billy” Meier, with a skeptical, and critical, eye. His research has now been collected onto a new website: The Billy Meier UFO Case.  Derek is going to be discussing his research as part of the Skeptics Track at Dragon*Con 2011 in Atlanta, Georgia this coming Labor Day weekend.
Dragon*Con is the largest multi-media, popular culture convention focusing on science fiction and fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, music, and film in the universe! SkepTrack is a complement of live entertainment and discussion panels for the legions of free thinkers, science enthusiasts and skeptics helping to put the Science in Science Fiction at Dragon*Con. On Friday, September 2, 2011 at 5:30 PM in Hilton Hotel Meeting Room 205/206/207, Derek Bartholomaus will be presenting an overview of his involvement in the Billy Meier UFO Case. Throughout the years claims have been made by Billy Meier, and his supporters, that Derek has successfully shown to be inaccurate. For example, Meier claims to have predicted an accident at a nuclear power station in France in 2003 that shut down the reactor. Derek was able to show that, not only was there no accident at the power station, the reactor was not shut down.
One of the highlights that will be discussed at Dragon*Con concerns the work conducted by Phil Langdon, from the United Kingdom, who has been able to successfully recreate all of the various Billy Meier photographs and movies. His reproduction work is so accurate that it also finally answered a thirty-year-old question about the case. This answer, and much more, will be discussed at Dragon*Con 2011 on Friday, September 2 at 5:30 PM in Hilton Hotel Meeting Room 205/206/207 in Atlanta, Georgia.
The Billy Meier UFO Case is the home of the research conducted by Derek Bartholomaus into the alleged extra-terrestrial contacts of Eduard Albert “Billy” Meier.

UFO-Kurier(N18, April 1996): 'The Meier controversy - New accusations' by Luc Bürgin

Semjase: But now it is time for me, because I have to go back to the North sea.
Billy: Then just go, you nightingale – I almost said night owl, but that doesn’t fit you, you’re more like a nightingale – also with regard to singing, by which I mean the voice.
Semjase: Your compliments are of exceptional value and very honest.
Billy: Thank you, then take all the flowers in the world as a token of honour and let their flavour please you in peace and love.
Semjase: You are very sweet, I have a very peculiar feeling within myself.
Billy: You are also very sweet – I wish you so much, lovely girl, may the enchanting flavour of the flower world guide you in love. Goodbye, and until we meet again soon.

(from: Guido Moosbrugger, "Und sie fliegen doch...", Düsseldorf 1991)

Until today the statements of the Swiss Billy Meier lead to heated discussions in the UFO-scene. For decades Meier claims to have personal and telepathic contacts with the “Pleiadians”, and even to have undertaken interstellar flights and time travels with his extraterrestrial friends. Naturally he also met Jesus Christ (who he calls Jmmanuel in his reports) on these occasions and equally naturally Jesus was astonished about his “high intellect”.
As evidence for his hair raising assertions Meier provided hundreds of pictures over the course of years, at which Pleiadian beamships are supposedly visible. He also brought highly blurred pictures from his journeys to other planets in circulation. In addition Meier perpetuated the knowledge gathered during his contacts on thousands of pages which are being studied enthusiastically by his followers – off which there are many – until the present day. While the majority of UFO-investigators are sceptical or even reluctant to the Meier story, other investigators and publishers like Gary Kinder, Randolph Winters, Guido Moosbrugger or Wendelle Stevens basically give the Swiss credibility.
Even the most enthusiastic Meier followers might now become hesitant. The reason: Kal Korff. The American has recently published a book counting over 400 pages, which very precisely documents the results of his many years of investigation ("Spaceships of the Pleiades", New York 1995). No unfounded suspicions, no subjective polemics, but hard facts characterize his work. Facts which properly dismantle the Meier case.
Korff didn’t hesitate to investigate on site: under the false name “Steve Thomas” he managed to get inside Meiers "Freie Interessengemeinschaft für Grenz- und Geisteswissenschaften und Ufologiestudien" (FIGU) in Hinterschmidrüti, where he pretended to be an enthusiastic Meier follower, which gave him the possibility to talk to his closest associates. (He only saw Meier himself from a distance, despite his many requests to speak to him personally.)
During his stay the American asked the followers of the UFO-guru, among other questions, how they would react to a possible visit of Korff, the well-known Meier-critic. Bernadette Brand, a long-standing confidant of Meier, answered: “Lee Elders warned us about him, we wouldn’t allow him in, and if we did, we would never let him go…” Korff was alarmed. Nevertheless he insisted to perpetuate himself in Meiers guestbook.
Let us get into the most important weak points which stroke Korff in Meiers story: the already frequently and gladly cited claim that De Anza Systems in San Jose (California), in commission of Genesis III (a group of Meier supporters), Wendelle Stevens as well as the by MUFON-CES, because of his photo investigations, criticized computer expert Jim Dilettoso have analysed several of Meiers pictures, is false. On inquiry of Korff the company managers disputed since 1980 to have ever researched photo material. Company manager Wayne Heppler about that: “The guys pretended that they wanted to buy a computer. For demonstration purposes we took one of their UFO-pictures and enlarged it (…). They then took a picture of the screen and left (…).” Heppler also declared that De Anza Systems didn’t posses the technical abilities to ensure conclusive photo technical analyses.
Also Ken Dinwiddie, who then did the demonstration, could remember the visitors clearly. During the course of his conversation with Korff most claims about the alleged results of the De Anza-“analysis” turned out to be nonsense. An example should be sufficient: in the pro-Meier-literature occasionally the claim emerges, that the soil of the terrain, above which one of Billy’s flying saucers supposedly had flown its circles, reflected at its bottom side, what would be clearly visible on a photograph which was edited with false colours. A circumstance which – according to Meiers followers – impressively excludes trickery.  As Dinwiddie declared to Korff about this, he inserted the reflection himself by personal request of Dilettoso.
Other photo experts like for example Neil Davis, Eric Eliason or Michael Malin, to which the Meier-pictures were presented for examination, couldn’t admittedly find any manipulations, but in their respective opinion or in later conversations they pointed out that the presented material only allowed for limited conclusions. To be short: without an examination of the respective negatives no adequate evaluation could be made about the pictures. (Characteristically no negatives exist anymore today. According to Meier they were all lost in the mail, or they were stolen from him.)
In the course of his investigation Korff decided to critically examine some of the Meier-pictures himself. The results of his study were more then sobering. It turns out that in many cases the respective sharpness of the photographed saucers were not corresponding to other objects of comparison on the picture. Also computer analysis brought values to light which were in strong contradiction to Meiers claims about the size, height and distance of his UFO’s. In addition Korffs investigations documented bulges and asymmetries on the outer casing of the objects, which construction would rather indicate self fabricated models then extraterrestrial spacecraft. In the case of a photo of March 19, 1976, on which a UFO allegedly hovers behind the branches of a tree (a circumstance which by the Meier-proponents is used as an argument for the genuineness of the respective pictures) a computer manipulation was enough to determine that the alleged spaceship was located in front of the tree.
Another UFO Billy allegedly snapped in February 1975 at Unter-Balm from another hovering spaceship at the same height, 300 meters above the ground. However during a comparison of the terrain on location Korff discovered a small hill, on which the observer is offered the exact same geographic perspective which is also visible on the Meier-picture. The American estimates the height of this hill on a mere 7 meters.
In the case of a series of pictures, supposedly showing a Pleiadian spaceship curving around a tree at Fuchsbüel at July 9th, 1975, the indications of a fabrication are even more obvious. Korff examined the location and concluded that Meier occasionally turned a full 90 degrees while taking the pictures, because the background setting on some of his pictures changes completely. The American: “As the series of pictures clearly shows, the tree must have moved with Meier when he changed his direction twice, since on all ten pictures the same tree silhouette is visible. I hardly need to mention that trees don’t move…”
Characteristically Korff and others searched for the tree in question in vain during their investigations on site. No wonder, according to Meier the cautious Pleiadians eliminated it already many years ago, since it was contaminated by radiation during their demonstration flight. Korff also found Hermann Wyss, the longstanding owner of the strip of land in question, to ask him for the whereabouts of the tree. During this conversation Wyss couldn’t suppress a chuckle. As Korff learned from him, there never was a tree on the said location at all! When after that the American went trough the Meier-pictures again, he discovered a picture among them which Meier allegedly snapped four months before the tree-elimination: also hereon one amusingly seeks for the mysterious tree in vain.
The discrepancies become even worse with his alleged space travels. In this case Meier brings forward among others self snapped pictures of Venus as proof for his assertions. Foolishly the visible cloud formations thereon are exactly identical with those visible on photos taken in 1974 by the NASA-orbiter Mariner 10 – by means of a special UV-filter of course! Billy’s story eventually becomes completely ridiculous, when we consider his picture of the Horsehead Nebula, which he supposedly snapped “from a few thousand kilometres distance”. An acquainted natural scientist comments: “The picture is identical to a picture from one of my astronomy books, including all stars in the foreground. Apart from that Meier could never have made any pictures of gas nebulae with his simple camera, since they shine far too faint. Nearby they are far too thin, to be visible anyway. For such pictures to be made from the earth one needs a precise telescope which follows the earth rotation and a long exposure time.”
Two other pictures from 1975 seemed strangely familiar to me. They show ancient men, which Billy supposedly snapped during his travel to a planet called “Neber”. Somehow it seemed to me as if the Swiss photographed the two hairy figures from a graphic illustration, on which the evolution of men at different points in time is represented. Later it turned out my instinct didn’t mislead me. The graphic designers from List-publisher used such an illustration for the German version of a book of Steve Jones ("Die Botschaft der Gene",
München 1995), at which two of the depicted human predecessors were exactly identical with the creatures on Meiers pictures! (I saved myself the trouble to research the exact age of the original illustration, but I bet it originated before 1975.)
Finally Korff addresses in his book the allegedly so extraordinary metal samples, supposedly given to Meier by his extraterrestrial friends. Bottom line: neither the analysis by the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science & Technology nor the analysis by metallurgist Dr. Walter W. Walker (university of Arizona) showed any evidence for an extraterrestrial origin of the metal samples.
Only the chemist Marcel Vogel speaks around 1980 in an evaluation about an extraordinary composition, which he can only explain by an extraterrestrial origin of the material, all the more because one of the samples examined by him clearly contained Thallium, an extremely rare metal. As Korff determined in this matter, Vogel obviously interpreted his results incorrect: another conducted analysis by metallurgist Dr. Robert Olgilvie (Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge) didn’t show the slightest trace of Thallium.
In addition Kal Korff also carefully examines the scientific credibility of computer expert Jim Dilettoso. Conclusion: Dilettosos assertions, which state that he has a degree in natural sciences from the McGill-University in Canada are demonstrably false. Confronted with the inquiries of Korff during a radio interview in 1994 he eventuality stumbled something about an honorary title. He didn’t provide any evidence for that until now. Hardly surprising, the McGill-University doesn’t provide any honorary titles (according to investigations of Korff). During Korffs investigations also other assertions of Dilettoso concerning his professional career turned out to be downright lies.
Korff eventually devotes a series of pages to the main promoter of Meier, Wendelle Stevens, his long-term prison sentence, as well as the attempts of certain circles to portray Stevens sentence as an orchestrated plot “from above”, which objective was to discredit his investigations in the UFO-sector. Since this story only touches the fringes of the Meier case, I won’t get into detail about this matter.
After reading Korffs book I also started to examine my curious fellow-countryman myself. Different colleagues provided me with information and documentation in this regard, which back Korffs investigations more than once. Michael Arends from Germany studied the Semjase-reports as early as in the seventies. His photocopied documentations contain among others the following findings: “(…) it is therefore also understandable, that in Meiers contact reports authoritarian political systems are endorsed again and again. For example the dictatorship on the planet Akart (it is not mentioned where this planet is located) is positively addressed. Also Adolf Hitler is mentioned extensively, whereby the extraterrestrial humans assess him mainly positively (Semjase-report, page 375).”
An acquainted Swiss natural scientist also studied Meiers writings extensively around 1980. His impressions are written down in a lengthy, unpublished article. “The manuscript is solely a hymn of praise to Meier himself”, I read. “Although Meiers explanations consistently reveal a low education, Semjase is ecstatic about his “high knowledge”. In the manuscript little of this high knowledge is noticeable. (…) Off course astronomical themes are attended to in Meiers conversations with Semjase, and nothing points more clearly to the unreliability of his assertions then the many errors which emerge from his scientific remarks and are accepted by Semjase, as far as they do not originate from her.”
The article subsequently lists 25 contradictions in Meiers manuscript, from which I’d like to mention three as an example:
The Pleiades, from which Semjase originates according to herself, are an open star cluster, which are a few hundred million years old at most. For the formation of habitable planets this is far too short.
Meier: “An atomic destruction of the earth has a substantial influence on other solar systems or even other universes.” Impossible! The distances are far too great. Not even supernovae have any influence on their surrounding environment.
In the manuscript drawings emerge which supposedly stem from Semjase. Her style is just as dilettantish as that of Meier himself.
Also the “Talmud Jmmanuel” of Meier is examined more closely in the mentioned article. According to Meier we are talking about the original gospel, which was discovered this century by a certain I. Rashid in the cave in which the body of Jmmanuel (=Jesus) was taken after the crucifixion. The initiation for the discovery of the document was off course given by Meiers intimate friend Semjase, “the daughter of king of wisdom Ptaah, who travelled to earth in a beamship from the Pleiades, with the assignment to once more point humanity to the real truth, since the time has come to recognize the truth.” The ominous mister Rashid translated 36 chapters of the Talmud Jmmanuel in German and send them to Meier, before he “unfortunately” lost the mysterious document.
The Swiss scientist points out: “The Talmud Jmmanuel is basically nothing else then Luther’s translation of the New Testament with numerous changes and additions, which clearly do not originate from a manuscript, but rather from Meiers pen. (…) Consequently he uses a series of terms which didn’t even exist in the time of Jesus, for example ‘Logic’, ‘Natural law’ or ‘Brain’ (as seat of the intellect).” In the beginning of the book a letter is added which Rashid allegedly wrote to Meier and issued the future fate of the scrolls. The letter contains numerous linguistically erroneous expressions like “es ist mir leid”, “doch aber” or “verlustig gehen”. Exactly the same expressions we find in Meiers own writings.
But also racist passages sting in the eye of the Swiss scientist: “Most characteristically for Meiers views are arguably the numerous sharp anti-Semitic outbursts and the insult of the Jews, which he puts in Jesus’ mouth. He indeed railed against those who in his opinion interpreted the Bible incorrect, but not against his people, to which he belonged after all. The hateful passages are in strange contrast to the many additional world improving, moralistic passages, with which Meier extends the gospels.”
Who eventually pages trough “Information quer durch die FIGU”, a roughly 40 page brochure for those who are interested in FIGU and future members, comes across passages which hardly leave any doubt about the sectarian structure of Meiers environment: “If you visit us outside the official visiting hours, please be aware that after 30 minutes we summon you to assist us in the work that has to be done. (…) Visitors who appear outside the official visiting hours and only want to hang around, not willing to actively assist in labour are not tolerated. (…) These kind of visitors have a demoralizing effect on the centre residents and have to leave our centre and its surrounding area as soon as possible. (…) If you see Billy during your visit, then please leave him in peace. He has more problems to solve and duties to fulfil then you suspect, and at some point he deserves it to have a few moments of rest and enjoy our environment. (…) When you work for and with us, you do it according to the statutes of FIGU without any right for compensation! (…) Connected to the membership (…) is the obligation of meditation according to the meditation teaching.”
The members of FIGU are loyal to their master. Critical sounds from their own ranks hardly get out to the public. I could personally convince myself of that in 1994 during my participation in a panel discussion on the Swiss television. Across from me back then sat Meier-follower Hans-Georg Lanzendorfer. With a dogmatic uplifted forefinger Lanzendorfer (who refers to the FIGU in Hinterschmidrüti in an undated brochure from the centre as the “origin of great knowledge and creational philosophy”) didn’t get tired back then to regurgitate Meiers story in an uncritical and sectarian fashion and randomly deliver blows at press, church and science. He didn’t make any mention of the process Billy fought out with former members in the early eighties.
Via Roger Eglin from Basel, who carefully examined the Meier-case around 1980, I could see into a part of the documents from back then. On November 12, 1979 two close confidants of Billy, H. S. and C. S., wrote a letter to the local council of Turbenthal (Swiss): “(…) since two years E. Meier runs a so called meditation centre, which is constructed belowground, under the shed. (…) In the meditation centre is a changing room. A stairs is leading up to another room, in which a copper pyramid is located. In it the members have to carry out the meditation teaching under the guidance of E. Meier, while laying naked on a stretcher. That these locations are misused in various ways is sufficiently made clear in the accompanying resignation letter from (…). We’d like to point out urgently that E. Meier suggested on several occasions that he would defend the meditation centre by force of arms against foreign intruders if necessary. (…) Also he and his first companion, Jakob Bertschinger, posses a substantial weapon arsenal including ammunition. (…)”
On June 17, 1980 both FIGU insiders had another go, when they handed over a detailed list of financial amounts to the district attorney, which Billy received from his followers as interest-free loans. Around two thousand persons were mentioned by name in the questionable letter, the respective amounts range from 10,000 to 130,000 Swiss francs!
That Meier apparently uses any means in his pursuit for success is illustrated by a four page anonymous letter that was send by Billy in return to these ex-members. The letterhead shows in a large font  “BM – Galact CORPORATION”. The content of the letter basically consists of a very incoherent and long-winded threat to both Swiss to maintain their anti-Meier-initiative any longer, joined with an exuberant hymn of praise to Meier himself. Direct quote: “It must be eminently prevented that this Billy Meier can disseminate his material and his word, because he’s the most dangerous man in this area, since he can proof to every sensible thinking human being that his contacts are based in fact, which you know very well yourself. Our method is therefore that we put every UFO-observer (…) within reach under pressure to remain silent. (…) In tougher cases we have to take measures that will send such people to the afterlife. These measures however did not and do not have any effect in case of this Billy Meier. His spiritual power is simply too great, and besides that he is so knowledgeable, that he can even influence our people, by which means already some of our people were killed, without this guy having to move a finger, since his spiritual power is sufficient to kill. (…) Because of your abysmal stupidity and indiscretion you claimed 5000 francs from this dog and demanded a bankruptcy against him. Exactly that led to one of his greatest accomplishments of his prophet career: thousands of his followers donated contributions amounting around 98,000 francs, as our investigations indicated. He thereby waited until the last moment to pay the claim (…). In particular his dangerous and foreseeable thinking as well as his unbelievable spiritual power made him recognize that because of their stupidity and indiscretion and his patient waiting until the last moment he could achieve the victory he couldn’t achieve otherwise; namely that his cursed organisation became an officially accepted and legal association. (…) The fact that they could not recognize this, is completely incomprehensible for us, therefore we could only conclude that they are hatefully blinded (…).” (The reader is attended to the for Billy typical, incorrect conjunction of clauses, which are italicised.) Hardly necessary to add is that the ominous writing ends with a tangible death threat.
A few months after the mentioned broadcast of the UFO-discussion on the Swiss television I also received a letter from FIGU, which among other things contained a pamphlet from Meier about Kall Korff which wasn’t lacking insulting words. Numerous utterances were put into the American’s mouth, which he never made in this way, and from which he vehemently distances himself – also in his latest book. Instead of giving factual answers to Korffs accusations Meier only lashes out with polemics: “We don’t want to respond at all to the slanderous assertions of the liar, fraud, slanderer and intriguer Kal Korff regarding the investigation of the photographic material by Genesis III etc., because these are so primitive and far-fetched, that these childish assertions can be refuted any time.” In the rest of the text Meier designates his critic literally as “nasty scoundrel”, “skunk”, “brainless, intellectually disabled wannabe detective and pseudo investigator” and “paid dirty creature”. Is this the language of the same man that was praised by Jmmanuel/Jesus for his high intellect and wisdom and even distributes a writing with the ingenious title “Gesetz der Liebe” (“Law of love”)?!
To avoid being accused of having written a one sided article I faxed a rough draft of my article to Billy on February 14, 1996, including the request to read it and send me his written response regarding the raised accusations. As I expected Meier answered me (yet the same evening) with a polemic writing. I’d like to recite it here – except for some italic printed passages – without commentary:
“Concerning your faxed writing as well as your equally by fax transmitted article from today’s date: on my part I think it is beneath me to respond to your article, which I do not wish to read, since I can very well imagine what lies and slander you, as a Korff- and S.-friend, or at least their ally, want to bring to the innocent and unsuspecting readers with these lines, which are with certainty lacking any truth, and since I know you from the television and from magazines as a man who doesn’t represent the actual truth, but only goes by hearsay, according to the principle: ‘From hearsay one learns how to lie’. Furthermore I have to comment on your false accusations, which I know from television and journals as well as from Kal Korff and S., just as little as the lies and slander from these gentlemen and from you, which Korff and you invented, since you do not personally know me nor ever talked to me on the telephone or corresponded with me, as it is also the case with Korff. You, Luc Bürgin, as well as Korff aren’t in any way open, free, honest and unbiased to the truth, which is particular in your case a real pity. Unfortunately you are under the bad influence of liars, imposters, frauds and slanderers as well as under the influence of wannabe-ufologists, like those of MUFON and CENAP etc., by whom you let yourself being spun around and misled, and therefore, in my opinion, your truly outstanding capabilities for the dissemination and rectification of a case are suffering and are being enslaved, and as a consequence you cannot openly, honestly and consciously vouch for and disseminate the truth, but instead you let yourself being misused like a pawn by wannabe-ufologists, as well as liars and slanderers and other lunatics and fantasists for their rotten purposes. You write to me, that a possible response from me, in which according to your words you, however mistakenly, hoped to find a justification, would be added in your article by you and would be published to its full extend. I am anxious to know whether at least in this sense you act according to the truth and whether you are honest and great enough to fulfil your promise. It is yet to say that also lies and slanders in vile articles, and I take it this applies to your article as well, bring more good than harm, as I and those who cooperate with me experienced since the beginning, in marked contrast to good articles, which rarely have any effect. For this reason I’d like to request you not to forget to mention my/our address (FIGU, CH-8495 Schmidrüti/ZH), hence the people who are interested can inform themselves about the real truth.”
On February 15 and February 20, 1996 I received additional letters from my fellow-countryman, which contained more or less the same passages as his first letter. At least they also contained some answers to my questions. Among other things I asked Meier about two of his UFO-photos from the year 1975. One dates from June 14 and shows according to Meier’s “catalogue of authentic colour photos” a “demonstration flight of Semjase’s beamship”. The other one stems from June 25 and is titled “Two beamships, photographed trough the window of a third beamship (Semjase’s), with at the background the still recognisable environment of Rumikon”. Remarkable is that both photos have the same background; in the right side of both pictures an absolutely identical cloudlet is visible!
The answer I received from Meier, when I called him to attention to this matter, could hardly convince me: “You take dates from our catalogue and assume that these are accurate. Exactly that is unfortunately not the case, since this catalogue was repeatedly written of by different persons, which unfortunately caused many errors since we didn’t have a computer back then. (…) Unfortunately we hardly can correct the occurred errors today, which is understandable after 20 years. We were able to catch some mistakes, which we didn’t correct yet in a published catalogue however, but only in our notes. Also with the photos you mention (6.14/6.25) such dating errors occurred unfortunately. (…) The photos, which are dated June 25 are actually also from June 14, 1975.”
Some days later I asked Meier how it was possible that on two pictures Semjase’s UFO is visible, while he snapped the other one from inside Semjase’s ship, since evidently in between both pictures, based on the identical clouds, hardly any time was available to transfer to the ship. Billy’s answer may at best flatter the writers of “Star Trek”: “Naturally it is possible for the Pleiadians to beam a living being from one place to another, by which means it was possible to make pictures outside and inside simultaneously…”
During our exchange of letters I took the opportunity to ask Meier about another photo. The concerning picture is supposed to show “an extraterrestrial instrument on the inside of a spaceship” – as former associate Herbert Runkel stated during presentations in 1980. An instrument indeed, which suspiciously reminds of a (very terrestrial) oscilloscope. Meiers explanation: “The instrument photographed inside the spaceship is not an unfamiliar instrument to the earthlings, but indeed an oscilloscope which is still used for certain purposes in the ancient spaceship. I don’t know what it is used for however, because normally I’m not interested in technical and mechanical issues etc. I know that we are dealing with an oscilloscope here, because friends requested me to ask about it. I never asserted anything else, and thus I don’t have to retort nor justify myself in this case.”
It’s curious however that this picture, just like all the other pictures which Meier supposedly snapped in space, has an arched black edging. (While Meier usually explains these issues so that he snapped these pictures from a Pleiadian display, Korff suspects – with good reason – that Billy far more likely snapped them from his own television.) The answer to this additional discrepancy – Meier faxed it to me on February 20 – could only make me laugh out of pity: “All instruments in the spaceship are constructed behind a display-like protective casing, which are transparent like colourless glass, but are composed of other transparent material. The boundaries between different instruments are composed of a dark, metallic material that is arched and non-transparent. As they explained to me there is a vacuum under this protective casing which is of importance for the function of the equipment. And when I snapped a picture of parts of such equipment/instruments, then this wasn’t possible without also photographing parts of the arched protective casing...”
For the sake of balance, I perhaps should mention that the Meier case consist of many more facets, which I do not wish to clarify here, since in the meanwhile Billy’s story contains – as opposed to other UFO-accounts – to many weak points to further occupy myself with it. As long as the Swiss only comes up with polemic verbal attacks and far-fetched excuses instead of enlightening arguments, I take the right  to remain sceptical.

'Swiss Radio International' journalist Bob Zanotti: Interview with Billy Meier(english, 1982)

Listen: The interview can now be heard on the website www.switzerlandinsound.com under "Interesting People" or here.

Billy Meier – UFO Contactee:
In the field of ufology – that is, the study of flying saucers – few enjoy the international fame of Billy Meier, a Swiss farmer who makes his home in the rural Turbental region north of Zurich.

Born in the Zurich suburb of Buelach in 1937, Eduard “Billy” Meier says he has been seeing flying saucers since 1942. Over the years he claims to have had regular personal contacts with UFOs and extraterrestrials who have visited him at short notice.

Billy Meier is a controversial figure in ufology, with groups of supports and detractors equally divided. For many, the excellent quality photographs of UFOs taken by Meier are proof of his claims. For others, his photographs and stories are a clever hoax.

Bob Zanotti has been interested in UFOs for some 50 years, and used to host a New York radio show about them and other offbeat subjects back in the 1960’s.

At the request of ufologist colleagues, Bob was able to get Billy Meier to agree to an exclusive and very rare interview in English back in 1982. It took place on Billy Meier’s farm near Turbental. Although Billy Meier has some difficulty in expressing himself in English, the interview is presented here as a unique sound document, almost in its entirety and with virtually no editing.

In this recording, Billy Meier discusses his personal background and  his UFO contacts; the purpose of the extraterrestrials’ mission; the nature of true religion; and his prediction about World War Three.
